Brazilian brothers Fernando and Humberto Campana have based their eclectic design workshop and studio in Brazil's largest, densest city, São Paulo, connected with makers and manufacturers around the world – most notably the Italian design house Edra who they have worked with since 1994 – as well as the artists and craftspeople of Brazil.

The Vermelha chair designed by Fernando and Humberto Campana and produced by Edra is found in museum collections around the world including MoMA in New York.

Espedito’s universe is very rich, When I entered his studio I was amazed because there is so much colour, so many forms and textures that I can get lost in there.
— Huberto Campana

Most recently the designers have collaborated with Brazilian craftsman Espedito, whose work is shaped by the surrounding urban environment of his hometown Nova Olinda in northeastern Brazil. In this film by Gabi Bernd, we travel across the Brazilian countryside with Fernando and Humberto to explore their deep connection to local crafts and the traditions of their homeland.
