The iconic Joy bookcase by Milanese designer and architect Achille Castiglioni manufactured by Zanotta since 1989 has received the Best of the Rest Award at the 2016 Wallpaper* Design Awards.
In 1991 Joy also received a Compasso d’Oro, the design world's highest accolade. One of the most important designs in the Zanotta collection, in 2015 the company developed a version with five rotating shelves (adding to the seven shelf model) and added two new colours to the range, burgundy and dark-blue green.
