“Eventually everything connects – people, ideas, objects…  the quality of the connections is the key to quality per se.” Charles Eames Charles Eames' sentiment frames Vitra's new book Everything is Connected, a compilation of photographs that explores the connectivity between us and the the things we surround ourselves with. Vitra: Everything is Connected takes us on a journey inside designer's studios including the Eames studio, and more recently those of Konstantin Grcic and Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. Colour, shape and motif and the evolution of a piece of furniture through advertising campaigns, visual snapshots, people, portraits and sketches gives meaning and context to objects. It's sometimes funny but also a private and intimate look at Vitra and the many designers who have put shape to the Swiss furniture company we know today.
