Here Rachael Watts interviews Australian artist Miranda Skoczek for Freunde von Freunden and Vitra magazine, revealing a home filled with light and colour and classic furniture pieces by Charles and Ray Eames and Verner Panton. She never goes unnoticed. Her oversized glasses and her tribal jewellery have become Miranda Skoczek's signature outfit. Her art is decorative, positive, a bit of a refuge from reality. When she studied at Australia's prestigious Victorian College of Arts, her lecturers tried hard to mould her into something else, but she stayed true to her own intuitive approach to art. Today, Miranda lives in Elwood, a beachside suburb of Melbourne. Her house is much like her: a carnival of colour, with splashes of green, pink and blue. Read on in Vitra magaziine.
