Neri & Hu, joint winners (with Philippe Nigro) based in Shanghai, architects Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu founded Neri & Hu Research Office in 2004. They work on buildings and interiors but aside from large scale work they also produce industrial design products for Moooi, amongst others. Highlights from their furniture collection include the Emperor lamp and the Common Comrades side tables.

Shibuya vase by Christophe Pillet for Kartell Designed in plastic and named after the neon lights of Tokyo’s vibrant shopping district, this vase is one of a series that have interchangeable bases and lids in translucent bands of colour. Read more here.

Domestic Design for Best Wardrobe:
Designed to interact with the bedroom rather than disappear into it, the system features doors that can also be configured as the access to an en suite, a hallway or any other room lurking on the other side of the bedroom. Along with structural and spatial intrigue, Backstage comes with obsessive details. The doors are crafted from sucupira wood (Brazilian chestnut) or lacquered with a shellac finish, with handles featuring leather or bronzed nickel inserts. Inside, luxurious leather shelves and trays sit atop bronzed-nickel-finished drawers. Read more here.
