From large-scale surrealistic landscapes to small-scale furniture, the work of Studio Job's Nynke Tynagel and Job Smeets is always mixed in scope – what Smeets quite playfully describes as "one big chaos". Job Smeets talks with Dutch Profiles about the way that Studio Job, launched in Antwerp over 10 years ago, has developed their collection. Both artful and thought-provoking the work ranges from furniture for groups including Moooi – notably the popular Paper Floor Lamp and Paper Chandelier – as well as huge installations for groups including Bisazza. Here Smeets takes us on a tour of the gallery he and Nynke launched in 2009 and for a look inside the workshop where the detail and depth of their many creations is revealed. Look out for the upcoming Design Miami show in December this year.
