Well known for its collaboration with designers, fashion houses and most recently musicians, the Kartell Kenzo collection is the latest in the series and features the fashion group's signature fabrics. Kartell is a brand that since its launch in 1949 has continually reinvented itself. Beginning with auto accessories, household goods, lighting fixtures and laboratory ware, by the 1960s Kartell had expanded into objects for the home, shaping a veritable design label with the help of the world's best designers.

Collaboration is at the core of what Kartell likes doing and over the past six years the group has developed an eye-catching collection of collaborative works. The clever reworking of Philippe Starck's 2004 classic Mademoiselle chair by musicians, designers  and fashion houses, including Missoni, Valentino, Moschino, Dolce & Gabbana, Paul Smith and most recently Lenny Kravitz, has laid the foundations for the most recent partnership, the Kartell Kenzo project involving three iconic Kenzo fabrics – Voliere, Magique and Voyant.

Previous ranges began with the Mademoiselle chair and the POP sofa as the starting point, this time the modular Plastics Duo Sofa offers multiple configurations and flexibility, encouraging the mixing and matching of Kenzo designs to create unique combinations.

The Kartell Kenzo collection is available exclusively in Australia from Space Furniture Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Kartell Bondi.
